Damn good podcast!
It’s been over two years since Marvel’s Netflix series began. There’s been some highs, some lows, and some really, really yellow-glowy fisty lows, but now it’s come to this – The Defenders! After two years, five stand alone series, and four new heroes, did it all pay off in the end?
Much like the road leading here, there were many ups and downs in The Defenders, and we’re chatting about all of them. And much like the Korra comic we discussed last episode, it’s a bit of missed opportunity. One thing’s for certain though:
We could have taken a jaunty stroll through the Spirit World in the time we’ve been waiting for this Korra comic – BUT NOW THE WAIT IS OVER! Was it worth the long wait? Did the continuation of one of our favorite shows live up to the hype? DID VARRICK AND ZHU LI DO THE THING ONCE MORE? Give a listen and find out, Korraholics!
50 h*cking episodes!
We did it y’all and we couldn’t do without all of you. So to celebrate our 50th episode we have a gift for you dear listeners – two lucky commenters on this post will win either The Tales of Beedle the Bard or Dark Tower: The Gunslinger Born, plus a super sweet Young Podawans bookmark!
With the announcement of the New Doctor, we decided to step back into the TARDIS and catch up on the Doctor’s most recent adventures. In short – we liked Bill a lot, but it was still a very Moffaty season for the most part. Still – we have MANY THOUGHTS. Aside from the Who-Talk, we have also an update on our reading challenge and on our watermelon beer preferences.
Welcome lords and ladies to the grand amphitheater of House Podawan!
It’s pretty shocking we haven’t done a Game of Thrones / Song of Ice and Fire episode yet, right? The show is back for the penultimate season and the books are limbo, so why not do it now? Besides all things GoT and ASoIaF, we also geek out about the new Doctor and drop some withering shade on the horrible new Valerian movie.
It’s another one of our Geek Potpourri episodes where we talk about a whole bunch of things we’re geeking out about, plus any random tangents we may venture down. If you want to hear our thoughts Bomb Pops, an argument Pottermore Sorting, the terribleness of Iron Fist and of course more YARN TALK, then you’ve come to the right place!
